Log Entry for Christian:

Today after a couple of kms on the bike I felt like I had adapted well to the bike and it had almost forgiven me for slamming it into a tree the day before. The truth is that I feel tired, but I don't feel like I did on the first day. My muscles are fatigued and need a rest because I can only push to 15 kmph on a 2% grade but they seem to have more endurance. I met Emmanuelle just in front of the boat to cross Lake Constance. It was good to see her all in one piece, and we had lunch as we crossed the lake. It was raining again but we didn’t mind.

After the boat to Germany I found that the earth was a lot flatter and consistent than in Switzerland. This made riding easier to Biberach. I had arrived at 7 pm and chose to stay the night in a hotel to get a good nights rest as my muscles and brain need it. The bike trip has given me a lot of time to think and to remember my past... I’ll get to that later...

Log Entry for Emmanuelle:

Biberach is our next stop. Today I will bike 20 km; the rest will be by boat and by train. Chris is with me for part of the trip. We met a German guy who gave us some info about Biberach. Sounds like a pretty little town. I am not disappointed when I arrive a few hours later. Chris joins me. He's tired but not as much as yesterday.

We find a nice little hotel in Biberach. It’s a real treat!
